This was my favorite place for chilaquiles. Staff were nice and attentive. Never had to wait to be seated. I only got to visit a few times but the food was always delicious.

The food was great. We've been here 2x since we moved to SoCal. It's a bit of a drive but worth it. The downside is that during summer, you have to fight the flies landing on your food. I live the ambiance and the vibe. The service is always great!

Craving some good Mexican food and my fellow Yelpers led me here. Service was great and food was good! The server recommended for us to try their chilaquiles and said they were known for it. Sadly they weren't the best I've had and was lacking in sauce. They weren't terrible but it was definitely outshined by their chorizo breakfast burrito. This burrito was so cheesy and filled with chorizo and not a bunch of fillers like potatoes. The cheese pull was insane! This was one of the best chorizo burritos I've had hopefully they're consistent because I'll def be back in ever in the area again!

Stopped in here on a Saturday afternoon. Nice dog friendly outside patio with high top tables. Immediately greeted and served chips & salsa. The salsa was so good. Nice kick to it. We ordered the hot spot fries. Lots of toppings. Tasty and filling. Awesome service!

Really good! I was feeling really lazy yesterday and didn't feel like driving anywhere to get food. But I wanted Mexican food. I've had The Hot Spot bookmarked for a little while and have been wanting to give it a try. Yesterday I went for it. I ordered Door Dash and delivery estimate was 35 minutes. My food came right on time. I ordered the cheese quesadilla, "I don't know" kids' meal, and the green spinach agua fresca. The kids' meals all have funny names like "I'm not hungry" and "I don't know." Super funny to see since that is a lot of the responses from kiddos. Anyway, the cheese quesadilla was my favorite. The cheese, white and plenty of it. The tortilla grilled and crispy on the edges. The cheese quesadilla came with rice, beans, lettuce, pico de gallo and sour cream. I didn't eat the lettuce or pico de gallo because it had sour cream mixed in. I don't like sour cream. But everything else was good. I liked the rice a lot. Didn't care for the beans for some reason. They tasted off. The "I don't know" meal was two cheese enchiladas with green sauce, sour cream, rice and beans. I didn't care for the sour cream on top, so took that off. The green sauce did give it a little kick (I'm super White tho so this could be like water to some lol). The rice was good and again the beans tasted funny to me. The spinach agua fresca was deliciously refreshing!! Loved it.

This place was poppin on a Friday night so a good sign. I had the mole burrito which is a unique item that's not so standard. I was between 3 and 4 stars so I rounded up. The food I had was authentic and yummy. I liked they had the option of mole burrito which of course I went for because it's not easy to find a mole option. Portion sizes are also very generous. I rounded up because the service was so nice, our waitress made our lime margaritas into baby yoda which I appreciated so much. She didn't need to but she put in extra effort to. I also highly recommend getting grilled jalapeños on the side. Perfectly grilled! Overall a nice hang out spot.
